IPRO Products Featured Prominently in Recent ILTA SurveyProducts such as IPRO eScan-IT and IPRO View consistently ranked well among respondents regarding eDiscovery tools.
The International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) released its 2009 Technology Survey, providing interesting statistics on law firms’ use of cutting edge technology. With 455 firms participating in the survey, representing more than 88,000 attorneys and 190,000 end users, the report is a detailed and comprehensive review. Phoenix-based IPRO Tech, a leader in the design of scalable, easy to manage litigation support software as well as e-Discovery software, featured prominently in the responses to numerous questions.
“It is gratifying to see the objective response of lawyers and litigation managers regarding the use of our product line,” said Jim King, President and CEO of IPRO. “We continue to be anxiously engaged listening to our customers and prospects as we endeavor to develop the next generation of leading litigation tools.”
In the general question regarding what tools the firms and attorneys are using for litigation support and/or trial preparation, more than a quarter of the respondents (27 percent) named IPRO, up from 23 percent last year and 21 percent two years ago. IPRO eScan-IT was the number one product named by respondents who have used e-Discovery Tools. IPRO eScan-IT combines electronic discovery, paper scanning, and printing in one intuitive desktop application. In addition, IPRO View ranked in the top four for respondents to the same question. IPRO View is an innovative document viewing program using an advanced project navigation system that allows users save time while increasing the quality of review.
With reference to records management broken down by size of firm, IPRO, as a vendor ranked third out of more than 25 listed companies for litigation support among law firms with 350 to 699 attorneys. For larger firms of 700-plus lawyers, IPRO came in fourth. Again, IPRO eScan-IT and IPRO View were highly ranked with IPRO View the number one E-Discovery tool for large firms of more than 700 attorneys.
The ILTA survey is an annual review that offers information and analyses on the use of technology in the legal arena. Many of the questions are consistent from year to year, but this year, 25 percent of the questions are new to the survey reflecting the significant changes in technology. The 2009 report combines well-documented trending data as well as new technologies and installations.
“This report provides data that will be useful to many firms and companies,” added King. “Despite the economy that has impacted everyone, we are fortunate to have our user base grow and to have a dedicated group of professionals focused on our customers.”
