The successful candidate must have:

  • Staff-level accounting experience, including basic bookkeeping, accounting, and data entry skills, with attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness of responsibilities through process efficiencies and consciousness of deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables; Vlookups; If and Sumif statements.

Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Prior experience with month-end close processes (NetSuite experience a plus) and deadlines, including:
    • Accounts payable, purchase order (PO) processing and accruals
      • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
      • Day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Record all bank transactions to general ledger (GL) weekly
    • Prepaid item coding, term and expense
    • Fixed asset entry and depreciation
    • Intangibles and debt financing fee amortization
    • Verify reimbursable expense reports (Concur experience a plus)
    • Royalty tracking, calculation and verification
    • Bookings reconciliation and revenue recognition
    • Journal entries and reconciliation of work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to the balance sheet/GL
  • Experience with multi-state sales and use tax (Avalara experience a plus)
  • General payroll understanding and/or processing (Paycom experience a plus)
  • Support year-end audit and tax work
  • Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
