Why We Need You :The Mission

You are the product owner and are at the center of all development cycles. You juggle multiple priorities across a complex platform on an Agile development team. With a strong customer focus, you talk to customers regularly to understand their needs and workflows. You vet user stories with developers, refine the backlog and break features down into actionable pieces. You bridge our Customers and Engineering functions, and understand the UX plan of our products and translate those requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for our engineers to use. Product interconnectivity has you working across teams to manage any dependencies of features in progress. Experience in the eDiscovery, litigation, Information Governance or compliance space is a big plus.

This role is remote in the US or Canada

What You’ll Accomplish - Your Performance Objectives

Objective #1: Within your first 3 months you will accomplish:
Leveraging conversations with customers and stakeholders to re-prioritize the Information Governance backlog and create a prioritized roadmap.
• Settle in the role of Product Owner taking on the appropriate ceremonies.
• Build you product, market and competitive knowledge.

Objective #2:
Within your first 6 months you will accomplish:
In line with strategic direction for the product laid out by our own strategic planning team, organize the next major efforts for Ipro Tech’s IG team and by working with customers:
• Build key requirements for the next release and while.
• Work with the UX team to design the user experience.

Objective #3:
Within your first 12 months you will accomplish:
Deliver the first set of product enhancements to the market. Work proper hand-off to the product marketing team and participate in the Beta program with the release team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Who We’re Looking For – The Personal Competencies That Matter

Technical chops – We need to know that we can lean on you to be part of a growing and dynamic
Product management team critical to the PM organization. This likely means you have a 3 + years of Product Management. You have worked with an engineering team using an Agile process in a product owner role. Ideally, you have background in Information Governance, compliance or eDiscovery experience in a fast-paced organization.

Influencing and relationship-building – We want someone with the ability to quickly establish credibility with and gain the trust and respect across the entire organization: from the senior leadership team to frontline employees, and everyone in between. A good situational leader understands the nuances and complexities of executing on an agenda which impacts multiple areas of a company in a growth organization. You must be able to balance asking the right questions with providing direction to ensure that the work gets done, and not just by you.

Balanced (short and long-term) - You are as hands-on as you are visionary and recognize that nothing gets done without discipline and execution. You consistently demonstrate a solid understanding of the trade-offs between strategy and tactics, setting goals with an emphasis on long-term value creation.

Emotional agility – You will need to demonstrate that you can make a difference quickly while embracing Ipro’s culture. You will also need to establish credibility across the organization – spanning all functions and levels - by demonstrating strategic acumen and a willingness to work with others to achieve a goal without taking all the credit. You are also comfortable formulating a plan quickly and committing to it, but flexible enough to modify and adapt to choose a different course of action when needed.

Thrives in ambiguity - At times, this role will be responsible for taking nebulous ideas and translating them into specific, concrete actions. Your work will not always be paint-by-number. You will be comfortable taking nebulous direction, translating it into a plan, and enlisting those you need to get the job done. As such, you will have examples of times when you took a poorly- formed idea, sharpened it, and owned its execution from start-to-finish.

Growth Mindset – You enjoy the process of getting better at what you do, and you seek out the feedback that improves your ability to learn from your experiences. The prospect of contributing to a growing technology business with collaboration from the strategy and leadership team is attractive to you for reasons you can convincingly articulate.
